Step into the vibrant world of Kasie's Room and discover our Exclusive Range of Decals! Designed & printed in Queensland, each decal boasts high-quality, 100% removable polyester adhesive fabric. Making them a dream to use.

Everything You Need To Know

What are they made of?

They are made of a high-quality, woven 100% polyester fabric. With an oil based low tack adhesive.

They are PVC free and non-toxic.

Plus, our blockout material ensures a flawless finish on any wall colour, effectively covering imperfections without letting anything peek through.

Can I remove them?

Yes! Perfect for renters, our decals provide an easy, no-fuss application and removal process, allowing you to reposition and reuse them multiple times with ease*.

*While the adhesive will not weaken, dust and particles can reduce the adhesion over time and if not applied to a properly prepared surface.

What surfaces can I stick them to?

A smooth, clean, dry, painted surface is best. Will work on any nonporous flat surface.

Can be applied to wallpaper.

Can also be applied to glass, stainless steel, acrylic, polycarbonate and Plexiglas®

Wash & wear or Teflon infused paints can reduce the adhesion of the product but should still work. Our walls are painted with Dulux Wash & Wear, while the adhesion is not as strong as on other surfaces the decals have still adhered and have been removed and reapplied multiple times without issue.

Bare metal (copper, brass, aluminium) can oxidize and melt the adhesive leaving a film in rare cases when removed

Do not use on varnished wood surfaces

Always pre-test in an unobtrusive area to ensure the product is right for you.

My walls have been freshly painted.

DO NOT apply to a newly painted wall!

A freshly painted wall needs time to cure before applying decals. Decals stuck to a wall that has not cured properly will bubble and lift.

Most newly painted walls need 6+ weeks to cure. Follow the paint manufacturers recommendation for how long their product takes to cure and remember that the thickness and number of coats of paint, as well as the temperature and humidity levels, will affect this process.

New builds may take even longer as there is more outgassing.

If you apply your decals to a recently painted wall and they don't adhere or bubbles keep forming carefully remove them and re-attach to their backing paper and wait another 2 weeks before attempting to apply them again.

I'm moving, can I take them with me?

Yes! You can remove the decals and re-apply them to the backing paper and take them with you.

We suggest keeping the backing paper! Carefully roll it up and keep it stored in the tube. Remove the extra material left over from around the decals to make placing the decals back on the backing paper easier.

Ensure when re-rolling the decals up that the design is facing out to reduce chances of creases.

Don't have the backing paper?

The decals can safely be applied to a piece of cellophane and then rolled up, ensuring the design is facing out to reduce the chance of creases. Using a tube to roll them around can help keep them stable.

The adhesive is designed not to weaken but dust and particles can reduce the adhesion so ensure wall and backing paper is always clean and dry before applying.

Please note that if the decals have been on the wall for several years then re-using them after removal might not be possible.

Will they damage my walls?

While this product is designed to be safely used on many surfaces we do not guarantee that the product will not damage the walls and accept no responsibility if it does.

We recommend that you first test the application and removal in an inconspicuous section of the wall in case the surface is not compatible with being able to adjust them.

We suggest cutting out a piece from the edge that does not include any of the design and using this to test, it is the same material as the design and you don't risk damaging the design.

Surface Prep & Application

This is very important!

To ensure you get the best from your new decals please follow the below instructions.

Cleaning the walls.

Walls must be cleaned with a mild cleaning product to remove dust and oils. Sugar Soap or even dish detergent are options.

Ensure there is no cleaning residue left on the walls by thoroughly wiping them with a clean damp cloth. Rinse cloth frequently in clean water. Leave for 1-2 hours to ensure no moisture is left on the wall.

Let the design flatten.

To safely send them decals come tightly rolled. We recommend flattening the product before sticking it to the wall for ease of application and to create a wrinkle-free finish.

Freshly painted walls.

DO NOT apply to a wall painted in the last 6 weeks. Freshly painted wall needs time to cure before applying decals.

Decals stuck to a wall that has not cured properly will bubble and lift. Most newly painted walls need 6+ weeks to cure.

Plan out your design.

While the decals can be repositioned as many times as needed it is quicker and easier to make a plan of where you would like everything first.

If you've purchased small decals you can usually just apply and adjust as you go.

For larger decals cut around each part (being careful not to cut the actual decal!) and using painters tape tack them onto the wall until they are positioned in a way you are happy with.

We suggest starting with the largest pieces first.

Once you are happy with how it looks you can then start applying them.

Applying small decals.

Simply peel the design off the backing and apply to the prepared wall. Not happy about where it is? Carefully remove and reposition. Being careful when lifting off the wall not to damage the edges.

We recommend only gently smoothing them onto the wall until you are happy with where everything is, this will make lifting them easier if you wish to move them.

Once you are happy with where everything is then you can go over them and more firmly press them onto the wall, we suggest using a soft cloth to do this.

Please Note: Pressing too hard may cause your hands to gather ink (due to the natural oils on your hands), which could transfer from your hands onto another surface or damage your decal.

Decal is not designed to be cleaned as this can damage the design. If dusty wipe over with a dry cloth.

Applying large decals

For ease of application ensure decal is flat before applying to wall.

If there are different parts to the decal cut them all out, while leaving them on the backing, to give smaller pieces to work with. Ensure you don't accidentally cut the decal!

Do not peel entire decal off backing.

Loosen 1 side and apply to wall, then slowly peel backing off as you apply and smooth onto the wall.

We also advise having a second person on hand to assist.

We recommend only gently smoothing them onto the wall until you are happy with where everything is, this will make lifting them easier if you wish to move them.

Once you are happy with where everything is then you can go over them and more firmly press them onto the wall, we suggest using a soft cloth to do this.

Please Note: Pressing too hard/rubbing may cause your hands to gather ink (due to the natural oils on your hands), which could transfer from your hands onto another surface or damage your decal.

Decal is not designed to be cleaned as this can damage the design. If dusty wipe over with a dry cloth.

Wash your hands.

Your hands have natural oils and residue on them so to help reduce the chance of this transferring to the decals and reducing their sticking ability please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before you start.

If it is a hot day or you know you are prone to sweaty or oily hands (like some of our team are!) and you have lots of decals to apply you may even need to give them another wash half way through.

Removal & Re-use

Simply peel off.

Fabric decals are designed to be cleanly removed from any painted surface by simply peeling off.

Please Note: While this product is designed to be safely used on many surfaces we do not guarantee that the product will not damage the walls and accept no responsibility if it does.

The decal doesn't want to lift.
  • If the decal has been on the wall for a long time removal may become harder to remove.
  • We suggest getting a hairdryer and set to a low heat. Beginning at the edge of the decal, point your hairdryer at the wall holding it about 10-20cm away from the decal. Once the decal feels warm to the touch turn off the dryer.
  • Do not allow the decal to get too hot or the glue will melt making removal harder and leaving residue on the wall.
  • Carefully get under an edge with your nail or a plastic scraper and peel the sticker back on itself. Don't attempt to pull up.
  • If there is resistance and the decal is not easily coming off re-apply the heat source and repeat the first step.
  • If there is residue wipe with a damp cloth or mild cleaning product. Eucalyptus oil or solvent can be used to remove any residue that will not come off with the above method.

NOTE: Anything used on a wall should be tested in an inconspicuous place first.
Re-using the decals.
  • We suggest keeping the backing paper. Carefully roll it up and keep it stored in the tube. Remove the extra material left over from around the decals to make placing the decals back on the backing paper easier.
  • Ensure backing paper is clean and free of dust before applying decals to it.
  • Ensure when re-rolling the decals up that the design is facing out to reduce chances of creases.
  • Don't have the backing paper?
  • The decals can safely be applied to a piece of cellophane and then rolled up, ensuring the design is facing out to reduce the chance of creases. Using a tube to roll them around can help keep them stable.
  • The adhesive is designed not to weaken but dust and particles can reduce the adhesion so ensure wall and backing paper is always clean and dry before applying.

Please note: If the decals have been on the wall for several years then re-using them after removal might not be possible.
